Over 2200 hours of sunshine...

Winter promises wonderful enjoyment for all the family or a skiing holiday with your sweetheart! The nearby Plose ski resort is one of the highlights for your skiing holiday in Brixen.

Alpine skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers and snowshoers all find plenty to keep them happy here. And anyone who wants to can grab themselves a toboggan from our toboggan hire shop – tremendous fun for young and old alike.

The ski resorts of Kronplatz, Rosskopf/Sterzing, Gitschberg/Jochtal, Vals and Val Gardena, together with the South Tyrolean Dolomites, are within easy reach.

For advanced skiers: with the Dolomiti Superski lift card, a total of 1,220 km of perfectly groomed slopes are available to you across South Tyrol, including at the heart of the UNESCO world heritage site of the Dolomites.

And, of course, in winter there are also perfect highlights for holiday gourmets and those who enjoy a leisurely shop too, with the Christmas market period just around the corner. The cathedral town of Brixen casts an extra special magical spell with its enchanted, illuminated alleyways & the Christmas market. There are other Christmas markets worth visiting in the South Tyrolean towns of Bolzano, Sterzing, Merano and Bruneck.
